Mike Regains Summit TT Title - 03 September 2010

Inaugural Summit TT Champion Mike Smith regained the title he won two years ago by recording the fastest time at the annual Summit time trial, held on the Sherlock Row course near Maidenhead.

Mike, who rides for On 2 Wheels, was over a minute faster than second placed Summit Devo Team rider Joe Broadhead, who had Tony Waters hot on his heels in third. Wayne Harris showed his improving form with a fine ride into fourth place only 23s down on Tony's time. 

The only mountain bike was ridden by Summit Devo Team rider Howard Clarke, who posted a very respectable 29m 31s time in the 15-year old's first ever time trial.

Rick Key brought out his 1930s Pathfinder track bike and improved on his time from last year. Rich wore full vintage racing kit and was joined in the retro ranks by Simon North on his 1980s Motobecane racer, both taking part in the medium gear 'fixie' category.

The event was run by our friends at Maidenhead CC, who have one final TT this year on Thursday, 9th September on the Sherlock Row circuit.
