03/05/2010 - Leisure Wheels Summit Series starts on 12th May
A steady flow of entries are coming in for the opening Leisure Wheels Summit Series, which starts on Wednesday, 12th May at 7.30pm at our XC course in Lotts Wood near Amersham.
Series sponsor Leisure Wheels is offering a fantastic discount to all pre-entered riders in this year's series. Leisure Wheels is also putting up a new Specialized Hardrock worth £300 as a free to enter prize draw open to all riders in both Fun Male and Fun Female categories plus all Youth racers.
The five-round summer evening XC series now enters its sixth year and our 2.5 mile course is well established. This year organisers plan to run all five rounds on the same configuration to allow riders to compare lap times from event to event.
With the entry likely to reach around 100, the series will once again feature four separate starts, with Elite & Expert, Masters, Sport and Juniors going off first at 7.30pm, followed a minute later by the Veterans who in turn are followed by the three youth categories. Approximately 10 minutes later the Fun categories start. The series reaches its climax on Wednesday, 28th July when the category champions will receive their trophies.
