18/07/2010 - Summit debut at National MTB Championships
For the first time, Summit racers joined the best mountain bike racers in the country when they competed at the National Mountain Bike Championships, held this year at the Pippingford Estate, East Sussex.
Howard Clarke, 14 years old, riding for our On 2 Wheels Summit Devo team won the Fun Male category held on Saturday and was joined on the podium by Amy North who came third in the U10 Girls category.
On Sunday, Joe Broadhead and Alex Bond represented the team in fine style in the Youth race. Joe came home in 19th position with Alex in 26th after he was held up by a first corner accident. Richard Key from team sponsor, On 2 Wheels, commented "I am really delighted with Howard's win and the promising performances from Alex and Joe. Whilst Amy's result is good news for Summit's Go Ride initiative".
Simon North raced to 11th positon in the Grand Vets category.
