The MTB XC racing season kicked off on Sunday with the Gorrick Spring Skedaddle on the fantastic Crowthorne course. We had a good turnout of five riders in the Youth categories, and out of that we scored three top podium finishes and two 5th places! Congratulations to Will, Lucy and Katie for a storming start to the season, and well done Sammy and Eddy on strong rides in tough categories! We look forward to following their racing at Mud, Sweat and Gears (Eastern) and Southern XC Series, with a few British Cycling National XC Series races thrown in for Will and Lucy.
Also....HUGE congratulations to Will, who has been selected to represent Summit MTB at the 2019 MTB XC Regional Schools of Racing - the first rung on British Cycling's Talent Development Pathway. Will will be attending several coaching sessions aimed at developing the skills and experience of the best riders in each region. Great stuff, Will - let us know how you get on!
